Hi peeps..
My name is Darren Martin, I'm a singer/songwriter based in London where I study Commercial Music Performance at University.. I have been singing since the age of 4 and playing guitar since 11, so I grew up surrounded by and loving music... The most recent 'scene' to effect me has been the Anti-Folk genre, especially the growing scene in the UK, with artists such as Johnny Flynn and the Sussex Wit, Emmy The Great, Laura Marling, Noah and the Whale etc. etc.... So I thought this would be a great place to share my views on the music, post videos and any interesting bits & bobs that might attract the ol' eye balls for a few minutes...
I currently play in an acoustic duo called Talking Timber... We have been playing music together for just over a year, and have written and recorded a large number of songs, played gigs all over the country, came 3rd in the international "Apple Creative Contest" with our song "Coat" which is now available on iTunes..
